This artist booklet was developed in collaboration with Farhang Rafiee as part of the 5th biannual artist booklets of the Muthesius Artschool. It was featured in the march 2024 exhibition titled “You and Me and a Book Makes Three.” The poster displays polaroid pictures and the artist's handwriting, showing images of washing and cleaning an apartment with the title “Stranger”. Rafiee uses this project to express the feeling of being a stranger in a new environment, country and home. He reflects on how cleaning helps him connect with a place and create a sense of belonging. The poster was designed to showcase his images and struggles of moving from Iran to Germany, with unspoken challenges lingering beneath the pictures, floating in his mother tongue that doesn't fully surface.
